Job summary

Anotech in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a seasoned Network Administrator & DevOps Engineer to monitor performance, secure systems, and optimize both on‑premises and cloud infrastructure. You will manage Cisco, Palo Alto, and FortiGate devices, implement firewalls and VPNs, and drive CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of relevant experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, NOC, or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Git, and Terraform.
• Experience with database technologies such as MS‑SQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• CKA and/or Linux certifications are preferred.
• CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or CompTIA Network+ certifications are an advantage.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer‑service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security, and respond to alerts and incidents.

• Perform network configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and security hardening.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco, Palo Alto, FortiGate, or similar networking platforms.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and other network security solutions.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure with a focus on availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Administer and scale Kubernetes resources, including pods, services, deployments, and persistent volumes.
• Implement Kubernetes monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Automate configuration management using Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support disaster recovery procedures and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service availability.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational best practices.
