Job summary

V2X is seeking an Emergency Services Dispatcher to function as a call-taker telecommunicator and to manage requests for Fire and Emergency Services responses. Dispatches emergency personnel and notifies teams of assignments and changes by phone or radio.

The role requires English fluency, two years of dispatcher experience, and relevant IFSAC/Proboard certifications. Work conditions may include extreme heat and industrial environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; must provide a copy of diploma.
• IFSAC or Proboard Telecommunicator II certification required.
• IFSAC or Proboard Hazardous Materials Awareness certification required.
• Minimum two years experience as Fire Department Emergency Service Dispatcher.
• Ability to communicate clearly on radio and telephone.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, record, and manage requests for Fire and Emergency Services responses.
• Dispatch emergency personnel to critical situations.
• Read posted orders to determine personnel requirements and notify personnel via telephone or radio.
• Post assignment information on the dispatch board.
• May issue regular and special equipment to emergency personnel.
• May contact emergency personnel to verify assignment locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
