Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Ras Laffan, Qatar, seeks a mid-level Mechanical Inspector to lead inspection of welding, mechanical systems, and piping offshore, ensuring compliance with project specs and client requirements. You will execute ITPs, verify materials and certificates, supervise NDT activities, and coordinate with QA/QC teams and subcontractors to resolve issues, maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification is required.
• Minimum 7–10 years QA/QC inspection experience, with at least 5 years offshore.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of welding, mechanical systems, and piping in compliance with offshore standards.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Execute Inspection & Test Plans for mechanical and welding activities.
• Verify materials, consumables, and equipment against approved specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and monitor corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, welding records, material certificates, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with offshore safety and quality standards.
• Liaise with project managers, QA/QC teams, and subcontractors to resolve inspection issues.
