Job summary

Qatar Navigation (Milaha) is seeking a motivated sales professional to drive OEM and services sales in the Marine sector in Qatar and abroad. You will engage clients, agencies, and shipyards to identify opportunities and coordinate bids that convert to revenue.

The role requires 4–6 years’ OEM/services sales experience, a related engineering degree, and strong MS Office/Oracle skills. English fluency is essential, with Arabic an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marine, or Mechanical.
• MBA will be preferred.
• 4-6 years’ experience in OEM and services sales.
• Areas of expertise: Marine (shipping or offshore market); shipyard repair and maintenance or shipbuilding.
• GCC/Middle East experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and Oracle Applications

Responsibilities

• Interact with the assigned customers in Qatar and abroad to understand their needs and provide solutions to them;
• Identify and develop new business development opportunities, through existing and potential new clients in order to drive more revenue and larger market share;
• Frequently visit all the major process industries, organisations and major plants in Qatar;
• Obtain enquiries, coordinate the quotations submission and close deals effectively and efficiently with clients and successfully convert them into sales revenue for Milaha;
• Develop effective tools, platforms and materials for collecting accurate and relevant intelligence about local and regional markets;
• Develop new products for the market and expand assigned portfolio;
• Study and analyse existing competitor prices and products and ensure Milaha is better placed in clients’ eyes in terms of service level and price;
• Keep a close watch on industry/ market developments within the region and advise Manager - Sales & Marketing on the same;
• Record and report sales and order information in order to ensure that orders are compliant with Milaha’s sales procedures;
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients via meetings, telephone calls and emails;
• Create a detailed proposal documents, in order to propose a formal bidding process for prospective client;
• Advise on forthcoming product developments and propose special promotions;
• Ensure to work in accordance with the company’s latest strategy, quality, HSE policy and applicable laws and regulation;
• Hold full accountability for the yearly sales and KPI for the assigned portfolio sales turnover;
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
