Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Qatar seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance reliability and asset optimization across oil & gas projects. You will review spares, manage obsolescence, and coordinate maintenance strategies to improve safety and cost efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE/BS/NFPA, and experience with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience.
• Experience in engineering, construction, commissioning and plant start-up.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA and hazardous-area equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review RSPLs and recommend spare parts for new projects.
• Identify expired shelf-life stock and recommend replenishment or scrapping.
• Review and update minimum/maximum stock levels, obsolete and surplus spares, and non-moving inventory.
• Review capital spares status and recommend preservation measures.
• Review and approve Electrical Maintenance Strategies, material purchase requisitions, and TBEs.
• Conduct eMOC feasibility studies and develop mitigation plans for equipment obsolescence.
• Review SAP Electrical MDG studies for material creation, changes, deletion, and obsolescence.
• Experience in equipment and spares obsolescence management is an advantage.

To provide technical/ engineering supports to Maintenance, Operations and Supply departments in order to carry out improvement of reliability, costs, efficiency, optimization of maintenance execution, failure and troubleshooting investigations

Key Responsibilities:

• Review RSPLs and recommend spare parts for new projects.
