Job summary

Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara is seeking a proactive pool attendant to maintain a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment. You will ensure facilities are clean, equipment is ready, and guests receive prompt, courteous service.

You will monitor water quality, assist swimmers, and support lifeguarding duties while following health and safety regulations. The role requires good fitness, reliable teamwork, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar position with a Luxury Hotel/resort.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, swim (if needed), or perform light athletic activities.
• Ability to lead group activities such as games, fitness sessions, or arts and crafts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operational procedures, checklists and work instructions are carried out to a high standard.
• Prepare facilities for daily use and ensure areas are ready for guests.
• Assist with cleaning, reception and administration tasks as required.
• Open and close the centre in accordance with published hours and health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shift.
• Supervise the pool area and assist swimmers in difficulty, providing lifeguard support as needed.
• Conduct routine checks of pool water chemistry and report deviations to the Duty Manager.
• Perform routine maintenance in the Plant Room including backwash of filters.
• Attend training sessions as deemed appropriate by the Manager.
• Maintain safety of patrons and provide emergency care until EMS arrival if needed.
• Present a professional appearance and high level of customer service.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
