Job summary

Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, seeks a dedicated Lifeguard to join our safety team. The role focuses on protecting guests in pool areas, performing rescue operations, and maintaining life-saving equipment.

Requirements include Lifeguard Certification with 2–5 years' experience, strong English communication, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations while multitasking across tasks. The position is on-site at Banana Island Resort.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard Certification and 2–5 years of experience in the same field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests and associates within designated swimming areas during posted business hours.
• Respond to emergencies within the hotel and resort swimming areas.
• Set up safety equipment (life-saving devices, first aid kit, etc.) and ensure correct signage and pool depth information.
• Maintain readiness of rescue equipment and boat as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ensures safety of guests and associates within the designated swimming areas during the posted business hours.

Possesses Life Guard certification and authorized to conduct AR and CPR.

Ensures set-up of safety equipment at the pool which includes set up of life saving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool; correct flag must be in placed during business hours; first aid kit; posting of business hours; depth of the pool; water & air temperatures.

Responds to any emergency within the hotel, resort swimming areas including ensuring that rescue boat is available at all times.

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
