Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Loss Prevention Site Engineer to implement and monitor loss prevention, safety, and risk management across the construction, testing, and commissioning of 440 kV substations and related transmission line infrastructure.

You will ensure compliance with NFPA codes, client requirements and HSE policies while coordinating contractor works, erection, commissioning and testing of fire protection and safety systems, interfaces with substation controls, and material

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or Fire Protection Engineering from a reputed university.
• Minimum 6 years in loss prevention engineering on major Transmission & water projects.
• Knowledge of design, inspection, erection & commissioning of Loss Prevention systems.
• Fully conversant with NFPA codes & standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractor works and ensure compliance with tender specs and contract conditions.
• Oversee erection, commissioning, testing and monitoring per procedures and method statements for listed systems.
• Ensure installation, testing and commissioning are carried out per approved documents and drawings.
• Verify and approve materials as per contract specifications.
