Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is looking for an Electrical Engineer in Qatar to review specifications, protection diagrams and SAS documents, ensuring seamless substation integration and project alignment. You will collaborate with clients, vendors and internal teams to optimize margins while maintaining high quality.

Responsibilities include FAT testing, SLD preparation, and rigorous checks of CT/CVT/PT applications, with a focus on protection systems and efficient engineering delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with focus on protection systems and substation design.
• Proficient in reviewing control and protection schematics and technical documents.
• Knowledge of SAS systems, CT, CVT, PT applications, and relay protection functions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with client discussions and document approvals.
• Experience in factory acceptance testing and vendor offer evaluation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Specification study to ensure alignment with client requirements and standards.
• Review control and protection schematic drawings for accuracy and functionality.
• Analyze System Automation Schematics (SAS) documents and related specs.
• Evaluate substation equipment schematics for coordination with protection.
• Prepare protection SLDs in line with client specifications.
• Check CT/CVT/PT applications with respect to relays and protection.
• Develop cable philosophies and interconnection schedules for integration.
• Review tender/vendor offers for C&R panels for compatibility and cost.
• Collaborate with clients for approval of engineering drawings.
• Support sales and margin optimization through engineering efficiency.
• Conduct FAT for transformers and related equipment to ensure quality.
