Job summary

Snoonu is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead end-to-end time series forecasting and optimization for logistics. You will build forecasting models for ETA, preparation times and demand, and design solvers to optimize routes and resources.

You will mentor teammates, run rigorous experiments, deploy ML models at scale, monitor retraining pipelines, and present insights to senior leaders. A strong research mindset and industry experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (MSc or PhD preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in data science or ML with time series focus.
• Hands-on experience with forecasting methods (ARIMA, Prophet, TFT, DeepAR, N-BEATS) and regression/classification models.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, development, and deployment of time series forecasting models for logistics optimization (ETA, prep times, demand).
• Design optimization algorithms and solvers to improve route planning and resource allocation.
• Design experiments to validate models and benchmark robustness under real-world scenarios.
• Fine-tune and monitor production ML models, maintain retraining pipelines and model performance.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, backend engineers, researchers, and product engineers to solve operational challenges.
• Conduct A/B tests to evaluate model impact on KPIs and drive improvements.
• Translate analytical results into actionable business insights for senior leadership.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting best practices in modeling, experimentation, and code quality.
• Stay current with AI/ML advances and integrate new techniques into logistics solutions.
