Palomba General Trading LLC in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Logistics Cost Analyst to analyse international freight, review quotations, and compute landed costs across our global supply chain. The role sits in a cross-functional team with Logistics, Procurement, Finance and Commercial.

You will develop cost reports and dashboards, monitor freight trends, and identify opportunities to reduce logistics expenditure. A 2–5 year background in logistics cost analysis and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics analysis, freight forwarding, transportation, supply chain or cost analysis.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of international freight and transportation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong reporting and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse international freight and transportation costs.
• Review and compare quotations from freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Calculate logistics costs by shipment, route and product.
• Monitor air, sea and road freight cost developments.
• Analyse landed-cost components.
• Identify opportunities to reduce logistics expenditure.
• Compare alternative transport routes and shipment options.
• Monitor freight cost variances against estimates.

• Coordinate freight-cost information with Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Assist Finance with transportation cost allocation and analysis.
• Support preparation of budgets and logistics cost forecasts.
• Analyze shipment consolidation opportunities.
• Review recurring surcharges and ancillary logistics costs.
• Support commercial teams with estimated logistics costs for customer quotations.
• Prepare management reports on logistics expenditure and savings opportunities.

We are seeking a Logistics Cost Analyst to analyse transportation costs, freight quotations and logistics performance across our international supply chain.

The Role The Logistics Cost Analyst will work closely with Logistics, Procurement, Finance and Commercial teams to improve visibility of transportation costs and support cost-effective international shipping decisions. The role combines logistics knowledge with strong analytical and financial skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics analysis, freight forwarding, transportation, supply chain or cost analysis.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of international freight and transportation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to compare and interpret commercial quotations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong reporting and organisational abilities.
• Experience with ERP, transportation or logistics systems is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following will be considered an advantage:

• International trading

• B2B distribution
• Food ingredients Pharmaceuticals FMCG
• Specialty chemicals

• Knowledge of Incoterms and landed-cost calculations is advantageous.
• Arabic is useful but not mandatory.

Compensation & Benefits

QAR 14,000 – 19,000 per month, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. The compensation package may also include:
