Job summary

Tanqeeb in Qatar seeks a Senior Lifting Specialist to guide project teams on lifting operations, safety protocols, and best practices, ensuring compliance with international standards.

You will review standards, manage assurance processes, lead investigations, and support contractor selection while delivering technical deliverables on time. The role demands strong leadership, coordination across multi-disciplinary teams, and excellent communication in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering.
• 8 years of experience with large oil & gas projects.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, BS, DNV, ISO, LOLER standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in lifting and rigging calculations per DNV.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Technical Lifting and project teams with extensive lifting knowledge.
• Maintain assurance process for Lifting discipline ensuring compliance with standards.
• Review and update lifting standards and best practices.
• Investigate HiPo lifting incidents; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Lifting Code of Practice to guide project teams and site specialists.
• Review key practices and plans to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct risk-based evaluation of complex issues and timely deliverables.
• Engage in contractor selection and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Promote lifting safety leadership with Life Saving Rules.
