Job summary

Qatari Diar in Doha seeks an experienced Urban Planning & Design professional to lead and coordinate urban and master planning for local Qatar projects. You will guide masterplan design, building regulations, and cadastral surveys to align with Lusail masterplan vision.

The candidate should be a Qatari national with at least 6 years in real estate master planning across asset classes with large developers and hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture, urban planning or urban design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, urban planning or urban design.
• High level understanding of government processes, policy development and analysis related to land use planning, land management and town planning requirements.
• Knowledge of city ordinances, rules and regulations regarding land use, zoning, permits, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning guidance regarding masterplan, design guidelines, and project development.
• Create and update the design guidelines and building regulations for Lusail’s districts that best meet masterplan’s vision.
• Create and update the parcel plans for individual plots that best meet masterplan’s vision.
• Prepare studies, reports and recommendations on existing patterns of urban policy and its impact on market trends.
• Provide information and support regarding cadastral survey works establishing or re-establishing property boundaries.
• Lead correspondences for requests of land adjustment, modification on plot access, modification on utilities, and GFA change.
• Provide technical support for Building Permit team to ensure submitted designs align with Lusail masterplan.
• Manage day-to-day requests from Lusail stakeholders (mega-developers, sub-developers, consultants) on project proposals.
• Create and update guidelines for buildings’ signages and commercial activities for Lusail city with authorities.
• Lead periodic surveys for Lusail city and prepare reports to investigate violations of buildings’ signages and commercial activities.
• Liaise with government authorities to enhance and streamline services from the department.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Design
