Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Lead Project Manager in Doha to drive planning, delivery and handover of large-scale, high-value projects. You will oversee ORAT readiness and ensure safe, on-time delivery within scope and budget, while guiding governance and executive reporting.

With 10–15 years in project leadership, you will manage diverse stakeholders, mentor teams, and uphold quality and regulatory standards across interfaces and disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • PM certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or PMI Construction Professional Certification.
  • 10–15 years of overall project management experience.
  • Proven delivery of complex projects valued at USD 50M–100M+.
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder interfaces in airports or large infra environments.
  • Middle East regional exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex project initiatives from concept to handover and operations.
  • Ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget.
  • Provide governance and strategic direction across the lifecycle.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
  • Develop contingency and recovery plans for successful outcomes.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor project managers.

Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Lead Project Manager to lead the planning, delivery, and operational transition of complex, large-scale projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering at least two full end-to-end project lifecycles, from business case development through execution, ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer/Acceptance), and into ongoing operations.

This is a leadership role requiring exceptional stakeholder management, strategic planning, and execution capabilities, with responsibility for managing high-value projects involving multiple interfaces, disciplines, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex project initiatives from concept and business case development through to operational handover and continuous operations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within approved budgets.
  • Provide strategic direction and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor performance against milestones and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Manage multiple internal and external stakeholders across diverse project interfaces.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and senior leadership.
  • Lead project governance meetings, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Develop contingency plans and recovery strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
  • Mentor and develop project managers and project team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Oversee ORAT planning and readiness activities to support seamless operational transition and successful handover.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Engineering Degree, or equivalent qualification.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMI Construction Professional Certification, or equivalent project management certification.
  • 10-15 years of overall project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex projects valued at USD 50M-100M+ (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, interfaces, and cross-functional teams.
  • Successful delivery of at least two complete end-to-end project lifecycles, from business case development through ORAT and operational handover.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in airports, live operational environments, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Middle East regional experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, and BIM platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
