Job summary

Gray Mackenzie Engineering Services in Qatar is seeking a Painting Supervisor to supervise painting, blasting and protective coating activities on project sites, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with project specs.

You will lead painting crews, plan manpower and equipment, coordinate materials and work areas, and ensure surfaces are properly prepared and coated according to standards. A Diploma/Technical Certificate and 5–10 years of industrial painting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 5–10 years of industrial painting and protective coating experience.
3+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
Experience on Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, offshore or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day blasting, surface preparation, and painting activities.
Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, materials, and work areas according to project requirements.
Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before painting.
Monitor abrasive blasting, cleaning priming, intermediate coating and finishing activities.
Ensure correct paint materials, coating systems, mixing ratios, and application methods are used.
Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, dew point, and surface temperature before and during painting.
Coordinate touch-up, repair, and rework activities.
Ensure proper cleaning and housekeeping of work areas after completion of activities.
