Job summary

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer to oversee material quality control, testing, and assurance on major infrastructure projects in Qatar. You will coordinate QA/QC plans, manage submittals, and supervise inspectors to ensure compliance with project specifications.

You will lead a team, analyze laboratory findings, and produce technical reports while engaging with stakeholders across the project lifecycle from design through close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; relevant registration preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ post-graduate experience, with at least 5 years in QA/QC on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international QA/QC standards and testing procedures (lab and field).

Responsibilities

• Review material submittals for compliance with project specs and standards.
• Support construction team with material submissions, approvals, testing, and sampling.
• Lead QA/QC activities including laboratory and field testing and material acceptance.
• Inspect construction materials for sewerage, drainage, roads, and highways.
• Develop and monitor QA/QC plans aligned with international standards and project requirements.
• Analyze lab and technical reports; implement sampling and testing plans.
• Lead QA/QC team, supervise inspectors, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Produce clear technical reports on material testing and QC.
• Participate in all project phases from design to close-out focusing on materials QC.
