Instructors at Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) form the backbone of thetraining ecosystem and play a critical role in delivering high-qualityvocational, technical and defence training in accordance with the Ministry ofEducation and Higher Education (MoEHE) standards. The IT instructor works inthe General Studies department, which forms the first year of a two-yeardiploma.
The primary role of the IT Instructor is to deliver the InformationTechnology curriculum to military students in accordance with all policies andprocesses at the QTI. The role involves teaching and supporting the creation,maintenance, and delivery of Information Technology subjects, includingMicrosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email Applications, and Microsoft PowerPoint,to specific standards within the General Studies department.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and implement engaginglessons based on MoEHE curriculum. They will create an inclusive learningenvironment that supports student success while maintaining academic rigor andadherence to institutional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstratestrong communication skills, a commitment to student-centered learning, and theability to inspire interest and achievement in the different subjects withinInformation Technology.
The role involves engaging in regular feedbackmeetings with Senior Instructors in support of continuous improvement of theinstructor’s classes and the department as a whole. Taking ownership of theirclasses and leading by example, the instructor must demonstrate professionalismand flexibility. The instructor must also demonstrate a commitment tocontinuous professional development and continuous improvement initiativeswithin the QTI.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability inresponding to changing priorities, student needs, and organisationalrequirements. They will work collaboratively with colleagues and militarystakeholders to support student achievement and departmental objectives,fostering positive and productive working relationships across theorganisation.
