Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Technical Support Specialist – Tier 1 to provide frontline IT support for Windows and macOS environments. The role covers onsite and remote assistance, incident logging, and coordination with Tier 2 as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or bachelor's degree in IT or related fields, with experience in desktop support and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, or Apple/Microsoft are a plus.

Qualifications

Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in Tier 1 technical support, desktop support, or IT helpdesk operations.
Working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, IP phones, and peripherals.
ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Apple, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote technical support for Windows and macOS desktops and laptops.
Diagnose and resolve routine hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
Support printers, scanners, IP telephones, and IT peripherals.
Log, monitor, and close incidents via the ticketing system.
Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 with full diagnostics.
Assist Tier 2 teams with onsite troubleshooting and data collection.
Install and configure operating systems and approved software.
Prepare, deploy, relocate, replace, and maintain IT equipment.
Perform hardware upgrades and component replacements.
Maintain IT asset records and lifecycle documentation.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
