Job summary

Qatar Foundation seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead Capital Projects across architecture, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. You will define scope, develop schedules, allocate resources and manage contracts to deliver on time, within budget and to quality standards.

The role requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, PMI/APM qualification, and strong communication. International exposure, especially in the Middle East, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 8–10 years of full-time work experience in capital projects.
• Professional project management qualification (PMI, APM, etc.) is strongly desired.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• International experience, preferably in the Middle East; knowledge of Qatar Foundation is an advantage.
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle ERP).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to timely delivery of Capital Projects as per SLAs with QF.
• Define scope of work and project breakdown with senior management.
• Develop detailed work schedules and allocate resources.
• Supervise project execution and ensure contractual compliance.
• Monitor safety, quality, and environmental policies; report progress to stakeholders.
• Establish communication cadence with stakeholders and document progress.
• Review and close out projects, expediting milestones as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Contribute to the timely delivery of Capital Projects assignments and objectives as per agreed service level with QF by providing architectural civil structural mechanical and electrical project management at the highest standards of quality
• Define the scope of work and breakdown structure for the project in collaboration with seniormanagement and shareholders
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
• Create a detailed work schedule which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
• Determine the resources time money equipment etc required to complete the project
• Supervise the project execution according to the project schedule and comply with the contract terms and conditions
• Comply with and enforce QF health safety and environment policies procedures legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility to ensure that work is performed in a safe healthy and environmentally-sound manner
• Review the safety and quality of the work completed with the project team and contractors on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project
• Develop forms and records to document project activities
• Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
• Review project progress and remaining duration for schedule activities to ensure project is on schedule and develop solution to expedite deli very on key milestones
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time within budget and at the required level of quality
• Update reports on the project for management and communicate this to all involved stakeholders
• Evaluate the outcomes of the project progress as established during the planning phase
• Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor s Degree in a relevant Engineering, Architecture, or any relevant field
• 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience
• Competent with project methodology and a project management qualification (e.g. PMI, APM, etc.) is strongly desired
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• International experience, preferably in the Middle East; knowledge of QF an advantage
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Excellent writing skills with ability to draft / edit official documents and articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency as a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, Oracle ERP and other technical tools and systems
