Job summary

Confidential in Doha, Qatar seeks a senior corporate insurance professional to lead, analyze, and optimize the organization's insurance program. You will report to the CFO and collaborate with the Audit Committee to ensure robust risk management.

The role covers advisory support, reporting to senior leadership, training staff, managing insurers, and exploring captive or self-insurance options to save costs. The position is based on-site in Doha with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8–10 years of relevant full-time experience in corporate insurance or a related field, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of insurance programs, techniques, and products, with the ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
• Strong control-oriented approach.
• Experience in a comparable organization, with an understanding of how value is created for customers and stakeholders.
• Professional insurance or risk management qualifications, such as FCII, ACII, or equivalent certifications, are considered advantageous.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit a wide range of reports and business communications and articulate ideas clearly and concisely. Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage, analyze, and evaluate the organization's existing corporate insurance requirements.
• Implement insurance reporting across the organization to the C-Suite, Audit Committee, and Board.
• Provide advisory services to minimize risk while maximizing control to protect reputation.
• Engage with insurance committees and submit recommendations for approval.
• Ensure training and skills development for staff involved in insurance activities.
• Maintain relationships with external insurers and advisors to ensure service quality.
• Explore self-insurance options, including captive arrangements for cost savings.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the CFO.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.
