Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the financial or insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of Qatar tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures and QCB compliance.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and complex financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure IFRS compliance.
  • Handle complex accounting transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Supervise and develop a finance team.
  • Ensure tax filing in accordance with Qatar laws and regulations.
  • Maintain internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the General Manager to support business decisions.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Ensure AML compliance with QCB including policy implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager with proven experience in financial institutions and/or the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, including complex accounting transactions, financial reporting, regulatory compliance (including tax and AML), and team leadership. This position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key role in strategic financial planning and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with IFRS and industry-specific accounting standards.
  • Handle complex accounting transactions, reconciliations, and reporting for financial or insurance sector operations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filing in accordance with Qatar's tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the General Manager to support business decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the financial or insurance sector.
  • Solid understanding of Qatar tax laws and financial regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and complex financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing financial operations.
