Job summary

AMALQA AL KHALEEJ TRADING & CONTRACTING W.L.L is seeking an experienced Instrument Tube Fitter for Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on installation, fabrication, bending, routing and assembly of instrument tubing and fittings for oil, gas, and petrochemical projects in compliance with drawings and safety standards.

The candidate should have a Diploma/ITI in instrumentation or mechanical engineering and at least five years of field experience.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma in instrumentation/mechanical engineering
• Hands-on experience in instrument tubing installation
• Ability to read P&IDs and isometric drawings

Responsibilities

• Install, fabricate, route, and assemble instrument tubing for process systems
• Perform tube bending, cutting, deburring and fittings installation
• Install compression fittings, connectors and manifolds
• Hook up instruments: transmitters, gauges, flow devices
• Read P&IDs, isometrics, and installation details
• Work with SS316/316L tubing and instrumentation accessories
• Ensure safety, quality and timely project completion

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Instrument Tube Fitter for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, fabrication, bending, routing, and assembly of instrument tubing and fittings in accordance with project drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.## 2. Key Responsibilities* Install, fabricate, route, and assemble instrument tubing for process control and instrumentation systems.* Perform tube bending, cutting, deburring, and fitting installation using appropriate tools and equipment.* Install compression fittings, connectors, manifolds, and instrument hook-up components.* Carry out instrument hook-up activities for pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, pressure gauges, flow instruments, and other field instruments.* Read and interpret P&IDs, instrument hook-up drawings, isometric drawings, and installation details.* Work with stainless steel (SS) tubing, including 316/316L, and other specified tubing materials.* Install impulse lines, pneumatic tubing, and hydraulic tubing where required by the project.* Ensure proper tube routing, alignment, support, clamping, and accessibility for maintenance.* Perform leak tests, pressure tests, and other required checks in accordance with approved procedures.* Inspect tubing installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.* Coordinate with Instrument Technicians, Instrument Fitters, QA/QC personnel, and supervisors to complete work efficiently.* Follow site safety procedures, Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, and applicable HSE standards.* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.## 3. Educational Qualifications* ITI, Diploma, or vocational training in Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.* Relevant technical training or proven hands-on experience in instrument tubing installation may also be considered.## 4. Required Experience and Skills* Minimum 5 years of experience in instrument tube fitting within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Industrial sectors is preferred.* Practical experience in instrument tubing installation and field instrument hook-up activities.* Good knowledge of tube bending tools, tube fittings, compression fittings, and installation techniques.* Ability to read and understand P&IDs, hook-up drawings, and isometric drawings.* Familiarity with stainless steel tubing and instrumentation accessories.* Knowledge of leak testing, pressure testing, and quality inspection requirements.* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.* Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and project deadlines.## 5. Preferred Candidates* Candidates with previous experience in Qatar or GCC Oil & Gas projects.* Candidates with experience in refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, and offshore or onshore installations.* Candidates available for immediate mobilization will be preferred, subject to project requirements.Note: Candidates must have relevant Oil & Gas industry experience.
