RIGGERAMALQA AL KHALEEJ TRADING & CONTRACTING W.L.L in Doha, Qatar, seeks a mid-level Rigger to perform rigging and lifting operations across oil & gas facilities and construction sites. You will prepare and inspect rigging gear, secure loads, and assist crane operators to ensure safe, efficient material handling per lifting plans and HSE procedures.

Requirements include 4–5 years of rigging experience, ITI/technical certification, and a valid rigger certificate where required.

Qualificações

• ITI or technical certification preferred.
• 4–5 years of rigging experience in oil & gas or industrial construction.
• Valid rigger competency certificate as per client requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform rigging, lifting, loading, unloading, and material-handling safely and efficiently.
• Inspect slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains, hooks, and other lifting accessories before use.
• Select appropriate rigging equipment based on load weight and dimensions.
• Secure loads and ensure proper load balance before lifting.
• Coordinate with crane operators, banksmen, and other site personnel; follow lifting plans and safety procedures.

The role involves preparing and inspecting rigging equipment, securing loads, and assisting crane operators and lifting supervisors to ensure safe and efficient material handling in accordance with approved lifting plans and HSE procedures.## Key Responsibilities* Perform rigging, lifting, loading, unloading, and material-handling activities safely and efficiently.* Inspect slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains, hooks, and other lifting accessories before use.* Select appropriate rigging equipment based on load weight, dimensions, and lifting requirements.* Secure loads correctly and ensure proper load balance before lifting.* Guide crane operators using standard hand signals or approved radio communication.* Follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work procedures.* Ensure lifting accessories are within their safe working load (SWL) limits and have valid inspection certification.* Coordinate with crane operators, lifting supervisors, banksmen, and other site personnel.* Maintain safe working distances and establish exclusion zones during lifting operations.* Identify unsafe conditions and immediately report hazards, defective equipment, and incidents.* Comply with company HSE policies, PPE requirements, and applicable Life-Saving Rules (LSR).* Maintain good housekeeping and ensure proper storage of rigging equipment.## Required Skills and Competencies* Good knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting accessories, and load-handling procedures.* Ability to understand load charts, lifting plans, and basic load calculations.* Familiarity with oil and gas site safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.* Knowledge of crane hand signals and radio communication procedures.* Ability to identify defective lifting gear and unsafe lifting conditions.* Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.## Experience Requirements* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial construction sector preferred.* Previous experience in plant maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, and heavy lifting operations is an advantage.* Experience working in onshore or offshore oil and gas facilities is preferred, depending on project requirements.* Must hold a valid rigger competency certificate acceptable to the client, where required.Employment BenefitsHousing AllowanceTransportation Allowance
