Job summary

AL KHALEEJ TRADING & CONTRACTING W.L.L seeks an experienced Fabricator for oil and gas projects in Doha, Qatar. You will fabricate, assemble, fit, and install metal structures and piping components in line with engineering drawings and safety standards.

The role requires minimum 5 years in oil and gas fabrication, knowledge of carbon steel and stainless steel, and the ability to interpret drawings, use cutting tools, grinders, and measuring equipment while maintaining quality and site HSE

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant fabrication experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical documents.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
• Knowledge of fit-up, alignment, cutting, grinding, and dimensional inspection.
• Willingness to work at project sites and in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
• Perform fabrication of carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metal components as required.
• Measure, mark, cut, grind, bevel, and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Carry out fit-up, alignment, and assembly of pipes, structural components, supports, and equipment.
• Use fabrication tools and equipment, including cutting machines, grinders, and measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Coordinate with welders, pipe fitters, supervisors, and QA/QC inspectors during fabrication activities.
• Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and workmanship before welding or installation.
• Follow approved welding procedures, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure safe handling of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Comply with site HSE procedures, Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, and applicable oil and gas safety standards.
• Support installation, modification, maintenance, and shutdown activities as required.
