Job summary

International School of London Qatar is seeking an inspirational PYP teacher for Upper Primary (Grade 3-5). The role requires delivering inquiry-based, trans-disciplinary learning and building a positive, inclusive classroom culture.

The candidate will implement PYP policy, collaborate with the Head of Primary and PYP Coordinator, and contribute to curriculum design, assessment and school community initiatives in a dynamic international setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status appropriate to the teaching duties to be undertaken.
• Experience of the IB Primary Years Programme is required.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to operate in an international school environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement PYP policy and strategic plans.
• Liaise with Head of Primary and PYP Coordinator to deliver curriculum and manage resources.
• Participate in design, development, implementation and review of the PYP curriculum.
• Participate in assessment and reporting systems.
• Promote health and safety of assigned classes.
• Engage in professional development and staff training.
• Encourage team spirit within the Primary School.
• Contribute to community service and global citizenship goals.
• Support extra-curricular activities and positive school-wide relationships.
• Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
