Job summary

International School of London Qatar in Doha seeks a Primary Years Programme teacher for Lower Primary (EC1-Grade 2). The successful candidate will deliver an inquiry-based, trans-disciplinary programme with strong communication and teamwork.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education, QTS and IB PYP experience, and a commitment to high-quality teaching in an international context. The teacher will collaborate with the PYP team to foster student achievement and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent
• Qualified teacher status appropriate to the teaching duties to be undertaken
• Experience of the IB Primary Years Programme
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international school environment
• Ability to differentiate instruction and engage mixed-culture classes

Responsibilities

• Implement PYP policy and strategic plans
• Liaise with Head of Primary, PYP and EC-KG Coordinator to deliver curriculum to specified classes
• Participate in design, development, implementation and review of the PYP curriculum
• Participate in assessment and reporting system design and reviews
• Promote health and safety of assigned classes
• Participate in professional development and staff training
• Encourage team spirit and collaborate with staff across the school
• Contribute to community service and global citizenship goals
• Contribute to extracurricular activities programme
