Job summary

EY in Doha is seeking an experienced Independence & Compliance professional to support policies, procedures, and compliance across the MENA region. You will advise on independence requirements, resolve complex issues, and strengthen EY’s culture of compliance.

The role demands regulatory awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to translate policy into practical guidance while coordinating with Global Independence and regional stakeholders. Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex assignments and analyze technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation, implementation and maintenance of Independence policies across the MENA region.
• Lead complex projects and country reviews, resolving issues from multifaceted relationships.
• Analyze and resolve policy questions, violations, and compliance concerns.
• Provide coordinated, practical guidance on complex situations with Global Independence teams.
• Respond to management queries with clear guidance on independence requirements.
• Offer technical support on Independence tools and processes to staff.
• Develop understanding of regulatory requirements and EY policies across service lines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve awareness and reduce violations.
• Design and deliver training on new developments and policy changes.
• Identify risks and recommend practical mitigation measures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
