Job summary

International School of London Qatar seeks a dedicated MYP English and INSO teacher for its Middle School in Doha. The role focuses on inquiry-based, concept-driven learning that builds literacy, critical thinking and global understanding.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and collaborate to strengthen interdisciplinary teaching while upholding safeguarding and inclusive practices in a diverse international community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or related discipline as essential.
• Recognised teaching qualification or certification required.
• Experience teaching in Middle School with ability to teach English and INSO.
• Strong literacy, inquiry-based learning, curriculum planning and assessment understanding.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging MYP English and INSO lessons aligned with IB requirements.
• Develop reading, writing, speaking, listening, research and critical-thinking skills.
• Teach diverse texts and analyse language, meaning, perspectives and contexts.
• Build understanding of historical events, geographical concepts and cultures.
• Apply inquiry-based, concept-driven teaching and ATL skills.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Promote international mindedness, responsible citizenship and ethical reasoning.
• Collaborate with Head of Middle School and MYP Coordinator for curriculum coherence.
