Job summary

International School of London Qatar (ISL Qatar) invites applications for a full-time MYP Drama and DP Theatre Teacher to deliver engaging IB–aligned programmes. The role develops students' performance skills, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through inquiry-based learning.

The teacher will plan and assess across MYP and DP, supervise productions, and integrate digital resources while fostering an inclusive, culturally diverse classroom environment in Doha.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, Education, or closely related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification or certification appropriate to the role.
• Relevant teaching experience in Middle School and/or High School Drama and Theatre.
• Strong knowledge of theatre performance, production, directing, and practical drama techniques.
• Experience in curriculum planning, student assessment, and performance-based learning.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive MYP Drama and DP Theatre lessons aligned with IB curriculum requirements.
• Develop students' performance, creative expression, communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.
• Apply inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching approaches that encourage artistic exploration, experimentation, and reflection.
• Introduce students to a broad range of theatrical styles, traditions, practitioners, and cultural perspectives.
• Develop practical skills in acting, improvisation, devising, script interpretation, directing, and production.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate students with varying abilities, learning needs, and performance experience.
