Job summary

MGallery, part of Accor, is seeking a Hygiene Officer to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety across the hotel. You will monitor all areas, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with HACCP principles to safeguard guest wellbeing and Heartists.

Qualifications

• Certificate or qualification in Food Safety, Hygiene, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment is an asset.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.
• Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and quality.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hygiene sanitation and food safety standards throughout the hotel.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchens food outlets storage areas and staff cafeteria.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and applicable food safety regulations.
• Monitor food storage labeling temperature control expiry dates and food handling practices.
• Identify hygiene risks and follow up with departments on corrective actions.
• Ensure proper cleaning sanitation waste management and pest control procedures.
• Maintain accurate hygiene inspection reports and related documentation.
• Provide hygiene awareness and food safety guidance to Heartists.
• Assist with internal and external hygiene audits and inspections.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain the hotel's hygiene standards.
