Job summary

MGallery in Doha seeks a Hygiene Officer to uphold the highest hygiene and food safety standards across the hotel. You will ensure cleanliness, sanitation and HACCP compliance, contributing to guest safety and Heartists wellbeing.

You will monitor storage, labeling and temperature controls, identify risks and guide departments on corrective actions, while maintaining inspection records and supporting internal/external audits to sustain top hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate or qualification in Food Safety Hygiene or related field.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and with different departments.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards throughout the hotel.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, food outlets, storage areas and staff cafeteria.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and applicable food safety regulations.
• Monitor food storage, labeling, temperature control, expiry dates and handling practices.
• Identify hygiene risks and follow up with departments on corrective actions.
• Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, waste management and pest control procedures.
• Maintain accurate hygiene inspection reports and related documentation.
• Provide hygiene awareness and food safety guidance to Heartists.
• Assist with internal and external hygiene audits and inspections.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain the hotel’s hygiene standards.
