Job summary

Amentum in Doha seeks a qualified HVAC/R technician to install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems across facilities. The role includes planned maintenance and seasonal overhauls to maximize efficiency.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, CFC/EPA Section 608 Universal certification, formal HVAC/R training, and at least four years of hands-on experience. Ability to obtain a US CENTCOM medical exam and a US government Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED. CFC/EPA certification such as Section 608 Universal.
• Formal HVAC/R training through military, vocational school or 4-year apprenticeship.
• Four years of practical HVAC/R maintenance/repair experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US CENTCOM Medical Exam and US Secret clearance.

Job description

Essential Responsibilities:

The designee shall be qualified to install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance and seasonal overhaul on systems and components to ensure maximum efficiency. Performs planning activities, and facility surveys. Manages HVAC/R fuel emissions and refrigerant handling programs and activities to support various ACCOM II systems identified in Table 4.5.1 – C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.4 C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support, Table 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma or GED. Must have applicable CFC/EPA certification such as Section 608 Certification (Universal). Formal HVAC/R training such as; military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
• Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam
• Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
