Job summary

Amentum is seeking an HVAC/R technician in Qatar to install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems across ACCOM II platforms. The role includes planning activities, surveys, and ensuring refrigerant handling compliance.

Required are a High School diploma or GED, formal HVAC/R training or a 4-year apprenticeship, and 4 years of hands-on HVAC/R experience. Candidates must be eligible for a US Secret Security Clearance and CENTCOM medical exam.

• Formal HVAC/R training or 4-year apprenticeship with HVAC/R experience.
• 4 years of practical HVAC/R maintenance and repair experience.

The designee shall be qualified to install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance and seasonal overhaul on systems and components to ensure maximum efficiency. Performs planning activities, and facility surveys. Manages HVAC/R fuel emissions and refrigerant handling programs and activities to support various ACCOM II systems identified in Table 4.5.1 - C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.4 - C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support, Table 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• High School diploma or GED. Must have applicable CFC/EPA certification such as Section 608 Certification (Universal). Formal HVAC/R training such as; military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
• Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam
• Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
