Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Head of Engineering (Piping – Process) to lead the Onshore Department Piping Engineering Team and oversee the EPC Contractor for a major project in Qatar. The role involves delivering piping design, equipment, materials, and execution definitions from detailed design through commissioning, ensuring compliance with project requirements across the full production life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ten years’ experience in Engineering roles, including six years in Oil & Gas, with supervisory or oversight of contractor personnel.
• Experience as Senior Piping Engineer with broad knowledge of execution, standards, specs, codes, and safety criteria.
• Experience with cryogenic piping systems design and LNG facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Piping Engineering leadership and manage the Piping team to meet project deliverables and schedule.
• Direct the preparation and stewardship of Piping Engineering scope of work in EPC contracts.
• Coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities with the Engineering Division Manager.
• Ensure governance and compliance with Operations, Policies, Standards, and project management systems.
• Manage contracts, procurement attachments, and timely purchase orders.
• Oversee piping schedule and provide progress data and recovery plans for delays.
• Capture and share lessons learned across projects.
• Resolve field-initiated piping queries from contractors/subcontractors.
• Review and approve material requisitions.
• Provide site support and engage with the jobsite as required.
