Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to join the project team in Qatar on a long-term basis. The role delivers engineering excellence through definition and approval of scopes, executing scopes of work, and providing technical expertise to drive business growth.

The position requires extensive Brown Field Oil & Gas piping design experience and may involve supervising teams or acting as a Technical Authority on projects. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related mechanical piping design and engineering with minimum 5 years of construction and commissioning activities.
• Technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards.
• Professional level of knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation

Responsibilities

• Executing assigned scopes of work. Supervises and participates in delivery of complex engineering tasks.
• Provides technical reviews for complex projects within area of expertise.
• Contributes to business growth through regular client engagement and bid support.
• Manage and supervise teams and provide technical direction to project teams.
