Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to drive the design, fabrication, construction, testing, installation and commissioning of offshore facilities for the NFA Sustainability Project. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in line with approved requirements and standards.

The role requires extensive experience in offshore oil & gas, leadership of large discipline teams, and proficiency with design codes and FEED/EPIC deliverables.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' Civil/Structural design experience in oil & gas.
• 10+ years offshore oil & gas processing projects.
• 7+ years as lead discipline engineer for major design.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural input for offshore facilities design and commissioning.
• Ensure execution on time, within budget, and per project standards.
• Coordinate design reviews with stakeholders and align with DEPs and codes.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Lead the Civil/Structural engineering input for the design, fabrication, construction, testing, installation, and commissioning of offshore facilities for the NFA Sustainability Project, ensuring successful execution on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved project requirements, specifications, and standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 15 years’ Civil/Structural engineering design experience in the Oil & Gasindustry
• A minimum of 10 years offshore Oil & Gas processing projects
• A minimum of 7 years as Lead Discipline Engineer for major project design
• Fully familiar with Shell DEPs and other international design codes and standards.
• Fully familiar with structural engineering software and design review processes.
• Familiar with all types of FEED and EPIC deliverables, equipment, design and construction progress reviews.
• Proven ability to manage respective discipline engineering team in a major projectenvironment.
• Strong technical, planning, communication, reporting and leadership skills.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized university;
  a higher degree would be advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent in Civil/Structural discipline.
