Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a senior Lead Discipline Engineer to spearhead instrumentation, telecom and electrical engineering input for offshore NFA Sustainability Project. You will oversee design, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities to ensure on-time delivery within budget and compliant with standards.

The role requires extensive offshore experience, leadership skills and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering design in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 10 years offshore Oil & Gas processing facilities projects.
• Minimum 7 years as Lead Discipline Engineer with exposure to Telecom and Electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation/telecom & electrical engineering input for offshore design and execution of the NFA Sustainability Project.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design reviews, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning meet requirements and standards.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Lead the Instrumentation/Telecom & Electrical engineering input for the design, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of offshore facilities for NFA Sustainability Project, ensuring successful execution on time, within the budget and in accordance with approved project requirements, specifications and international standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering design in the Oil & Gas Industry
• A minimum of 10 years' offshore Oil & Gas processing facilities projects
• A minimum of 7 years as Lead Discipline Engineer coupled with adequate exposure to Telecom and Electrical engineering design.
• Fully familiar with Shell DEP's and other international design codes and standards.
• Fully familiar with Instrument and Electrical engineering software and design review process.
• Familiar with all types of FEED and EPIC deliverables, equipment, design and construction progress reviews.
• Proven ability to manage respective discipline engineering team in a major project environment.
• Strong technical, planning, communication, reporting and leadership skills with fluency in English Language.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instrumentation & Control or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized university; a higher degree would be advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
