Job summary

voco Doha Central is seeking a Head Chef to lead our culinary team in a dynamic pre-opening hotel in Doha. You will shape food culture, design menus, and ensure exceptional dining experiences aligned with the voco brand.

You will manage kitchen operations, cost controls, HACCP compliance, and mentor a diverse team to deliver consistent quality across Restaurants, Banqueting and Room Service.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success as Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef in luxury/upscale hotels.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop teams.
• Excellent knowledge of international cuisine, trends, and techniques.
• Solid understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
• Experience with HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
• Design creative, commercially driven menus aligned with brand standards and guest expectations.
• Oversee all food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality.
• Manage food costs, purchasing, and kitchen budgets.
• Plan and execute banquet, catering, and special event culinary operations.
• Collaborate with F&B leaders to create memorable dining concepts and promotions.
• Drive innovation to continuously improve menus, processes, and guest satisfaction.
• Build a positive, high-performing kitchen culture that supports engagement and retention.
