Job summary

Kempinski Doha is seeking a Telephone Operator to join its Rooms Division, Front Office & Guest Services. The role involves answering all incoming calls from guests and internal lines in a friendly, caring manner aligned with Kempinski and LQA standards.

The operator will manage messages, wake-up calls, Do Not Disturb preferences, and guest requests, acting as the hotel’s communications center in emergencies and ensuring accurate telephone records and up-to-date directory information.

Qualifications

• The Telephone Operator fulfills duties in the Rooms Division, Front Office & Guest Services according to Kempinski standards.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls, connect to the appropriate extension efficiently and courteously.
• Write down and deliver messages accurately and promptly.
• Handle DND requests and confidential status for guests.
• Coordinate wake-up calls for guests per LQA standards.
• Assist guests with information, requests, or complaints and refer to relevant colleagues as needed.
• Act as hotel communication center during emergencies and keep records of DDD/IDD.
• Monitor TV channels and music in public areas to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain up-to-date telephone directory, staff changes, procedures, and hotel knowledge.
• Keep a clean and organized work area at all times.
