Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an IT Manager to oversee Group IT operations, systems, infrastructure, projects and service delivery. You will align technology with business goals and lead IT initiatives across multiple entities.

The role requires 7–10 years of IT experience in a managerial capacity, strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and project management, and excellent English communication skills. You will manage budgets, vendors, and the IT team to ensure reliable, secure technology services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant IT experience, managerial/supervisory in multi-company environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, automation, hardware/software, networks, IT service management, and technology implementation.
• Proven experience in IT project management, budgeting, vendor management, resource planning, and leading technical teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee IT strategies, policies, procedures, and technology initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Lead IT projects including automation, integration, upgrades, and customization with budgets, timelines, resources, and vendor contracts.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and performance of IT systems, software, hardware, networks, and infrastructure for reliability and continuity.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand requirements and deliver suitable technology solutions; manage expectations and relationships.
• Oversee help desk and IT support; monitor service levels and resolve incidents promptly.
• Manage IT budgets, personnel, equipment, and external vendors, contracts, and service performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Group IT team; monitor productivity and provide expert advice on IT needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing Group IT operations, systems, infrastructure, projects, and service delivery. The role leads IT initiatives, ensures the reliability and security of technology systems, manages IT resources and vendors, and works closely with business leaders to align technology solutions with organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend IT strategies, policies, procedures, and technology initiatives in alignment with business objectives and emerging technology trends.
• Lead and monitor IT projects involving systems automation, integration, implementation, upgrades, and customization, including project budgets, timelines, resources, and vendor contracts.
• Oversee the installation, upgrading, maintenance, and performance of IT systems, software, hardware, networks, and related infrastructure to ensure reliability and business continuity.
• Work closely with department heads and key stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide appropriate technology solutions, manage expectations, and establish effective long-term working relationships.
• Oversee help desk and IT support activities, monitor service levels, and ensure reported issues and technical incidents are addressed and resolved promptly.
• Review and manage the allocation of IT budgets, personnel, equipment, and other resources while overseeing external vendors, service providers, contracts, and service performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Group IT team, monitor productivity and technical performance, and provide expert advice on current and future IT requirements and initiatives.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A relevant professional certification or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 - 10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably with experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity and within a multi-company or group environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, automation, hardware and software, networks, IT service management, and technology implementation.
• Proven experience in IT project management, budgeting, vendor management, resource planning, and leading technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
