Job summary

V2X in Qatar seeks an Emergency Services Dispatcher to serve as the primary call-taker for fire and emergency responses. You will receive, record, and manage requests, and dispatch personnel to critical incidents with accuracy and speed.

Under supervision of the Dispatcher Lead, you will verify assignments, post updates on the dispatch board, and coordinate equipment as needed, while operating in challenging conditions and maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Must provide a copy of the diploma.
• IFSAC or Proboard Telecommunicator II certification
• IFSAC or Proboard Hazardous Materials Awareness certification

Responsibilities

• Functions primarily as a call-taker telecommunicator and is responsible for receiving, recording, and effectively managing requests for Fire and Emergency Services responses.
• Dispatches emergency personnel to situations requiring critical response.
• Reads posted orders to ascertain personnel requirements and notifies personnel of work assignments and changes in instructions by telephone or radio.
• Posts assignment information on dispatch board.
• May issue regular and special equipment to emergency personnel.
• May contact emergency personnel to verify assignment locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
