Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a Loading Assistant II in Doha to manage loading/offloading of flights, ensure compliance with GLP and Food Safety standards, and coordinate handovers with cabin crew. The role requires a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience, with preferred flight catering exposure and strong English communication.

The candidate will support ramp operations, guide junior staff, and assist in emergencies while maintaining safety and efficiency across assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred: Previous Flight Catering experience in flight preparation/loading/offloading.
• Reading and writing skills required.
• Flexible working hours and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Airside Safety.
• Knowledge of Menu Specification, Load Matrix, and Menu Cycles.

Responsibilities

• Load/Offload flights per Airline Specification, GLP and Food Safety Standards.
• Initiate economy service handover to Cabin Crew during operations.
• Handle Crew Training/Amiri/Charter/VIP flights as required by operations.
• Adhere to Ramp Safety and marshalling of High Loaders.
• Place safety chocks/cones after aligning HL to aircraft.
• Guide junior staff to load according to procedures.
• Provide prompt information to Ramp Duty Supervisor for action.
• Coordinate with on-duty staff inside and outside the organization during emergencies.
• Assist management according to operational requirements.
