Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a skilled Freighter Load Control Officer based in Doha, Qatar. This role requires the candidate to manage centralized weight and balance functions across its global freighter network, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of three years of relevant experience, and certifications in weight and balance as well as Dangerous Goods Regulations. Strong analytical skills and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in freighter or wide-body aircraft load control.
• Weight and balance certification for freighter or wide-body passenger aircraft.
• Valid Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR) certification (CAT10 or CAT6).
• Sound understanding of IATA cargo handling regulations.
• Proficiency in English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare freighter load plans and load sheets using the CLC system.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Make operational decisions on load adjustments.
• Act as the focal point for weight and balance activities.
• Coordinate with stations for unit load sheets.
• Generate loading instruction reports for ramp teams.
• Prepare and transmit load sheets based on flight details.
• Communicate with stations during schedule disruptions.
• Contribute to process improvements in cargo load efficiency.
