Job summary

voco Doha Central is seeking a dedicated Steward to uphold cleanliness in kitchen and service areas, ensuring hygiene standards support guest experiences. This pre-opening hotel blends contemporary style with warm hospitality in central Doha.

As part of the dining team, you will handle dishwashing, storage, waste management, and assist with event setups, working flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stewarding or housekeeping is preferred.
• Basic understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, stewarding and back-of-house areas.
• Wash and store dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures are completed on time.
• Support kitchen and restaurant operations by supplying clean equipment and utensils.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling per hotel procedures.
• Assist with receiving, storage and movement of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain proper chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and keep it clean and serviceable.
• Support banquet and event setup and breakdown requirements.
• Report maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
