Job summary

Teyseer Services company in Qatar is seeking a Fire Protection Supervisor to oversee installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and readiness of fire protection and life safety systems.

The role involves supervising technicians, coordinating with HSE, and ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements for diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire & Safety or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection system installation, testing, maintenance or facilities management including supervision.
• Strong practical knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, residential or large-scale facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of fire protection technicians and maintenance personnel.
• Oversee the inspection testing maintenance and repair of fire protection systems and equipment.
• Ensure fire alarm, fire detection, sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire pump, fire suppression and emergency systems are maintained in proper working condition.
• Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems and identify defects, deficiencies or hazards.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor the operation and testing of fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel/electric pumps, valves, sprinklers and hydrants.
• Ensure extinguishers and other portable firefighting equipment are inspected, serviced, located and identified.
• Supervise contractors and specialist service providers carrying out fire protection works.
• Review maintenance reports, inspection checklists, testing records and other relevant documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance, defects and corrective actions.
• Ensure all fire protection work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures and permits.
• Coordinate with HSE, Facilities Operations, Security and other departments on fire and life safety matters.

Qualifications

• Relevant fire protection certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection system installation, testing, maintenance, or facilities management, including supervisory experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, residential, or large-scale facilities is preferred.
