Job summary

Employment is seeking an experienced Lead Expert - Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting to lead and manage the technical and operational activities of the Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting team. The role involves team leadership, technical support, customer escalation management, project/tender support, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience with Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting and Fire Protection systems, preferably in Qatar/GCC.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/leadership role managing Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting teams.
• Strong hands-on experience in installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Good knowledge of Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Fire Suppression, Fire Pumps, Sprinkler, Hydrant and related systems.
• Experience with QCDD approvals, inspections and compliance requirements is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and Qatar Civil Defence requirements.
• Experience in technical estimation, tendering, quotations and resource planning.
• Strong customer handling, technical escalation and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

Required / Preferred Certifications

• QCDD-approved/registered Engineer.


• QCDD Grade A or Grade B experience/certification preferred.


• UPDA/MMUP registration - preferred for an engineering-level candidate.


• NFPA certifications/training - preferably NFPA 13, NFPA 72 and relevant Fire Protection standards.


• NFPA CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) - an added advantage.


• Manufacturer-specific certifications for systems such as Notifier, Honeywell, Siemens, Edwards, Hochiki, Johnson Controls/Tyco, etc. - an advantage.
