Job summary

Confidential in Doha is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to design and supervise the installation and testing of fire alarm systems in line with QCD, NFPA, and QCS requirements. The role involves coordinating with Civil Defense authorities and project teams to ensure compliant, timely handover of systems.

The ideal candidate will hold a UPDA Grade C, a valid QID with visa transfer eligibility, and 3–7 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Valid Qatar driving license.
• QID and visa transfer eligibility.
• UPDA Grade C certification.
• QCD Fire Alarm Engineer approval experience.
• 3–7 years of experience in fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of QCS and NFPA codes.
• Experience with major fire alarm brands.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or relevant design software.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm and detection systems based on project requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, layout plans, schematics and BOQs.
• Coordinate inspections with Qatar Civil Defense (QCD) and ensure NFPA/QCS compliance.
• Supervise installation works on-site and oversee testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Prepare technical reports, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery.
