Qualifications

• Proven experience waiting tables in upscale, fine‑dining, or Michelin‑starred environment.
• Strong understanding of fine wines, spirits, premium ingredients, and classic culinary terminology.
• Exceptional poise, refined communication skills, emotional intelligence to read guest cues, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Immaculate personal presentation and adherence to strict uniform and grooming standards.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for long shifts while carrying heavy silver trays and large wine buckets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a flawless, highly sophisticated culinary experience to guests in a high-end restaurant.
• Serve with deep culinary knowledge, flawless etiquette, and the ability to anticipate guest needs before they arise.
• Maintain exhaustive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation techniques, culinary origins, allergens, and wine or cocktail pairings.
• Execute precise service techniques such as serving from the left, clearing from the right, pouring water and wine flawlessly, and synchronized table drops.
• Read the table to tailor the service style to the guests’ vibe and anticipate needs quietly, e.g., replacing dropped napkins or crumbing the table between courses.
• Guide guests through the menu, explain tasting menus, and confidently recommend premium pairings and digestifs to enhance the check size.
• Communicate with kitchen and expo regarding dietary restrictions, pacing requests, and precise order modifications.
• Ensure every piece of silverware, crystal glassware, and porcelain plate is spotless and perfectly aligned.
• Stand, walk, and carry heavy silver trays, balanced plates, or large wine buckets with grace during long shifts.
