Job summary

Baker Hughes in Qatar is seeking a Control Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of turbine control systems. You will supervise wiring, perform tests, and ensure safety and quality standards on customer sites, including offshore and remote locations.

The role requires 10+ years of field experience, strong knowledge of rotating equipment, and fluent English for report writing and client communication. The position involves extensive travel (≥70%).

Qualifications

Engineering degree; minimum 10 years of field experience.
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Hands-on with HDGT frame 5/2, 6B, 7E & 9E instrumentation.
Fluent English (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical direction for control systems installation and testing.
Supervise panel wiring and electrical hook ups on customer sites.
Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on gas turbines.
Lead installation, maintenance, commissioning with HSE compliance.
Prepare technical reports and communicate with managers.
