Job summary

Flora Technology in Doha is seeking an experienced ELV Pre-Sales Engineer to lead technical activities for CCTV and security system projects. You will translate client requirements into robust ELV designs, prepare BOQs, and develop technical proposals to support tender submissions.

Responsibilities include reviewing tenders, collaborating with Sales, and delivering precise documentation. The role demands strong AutoCAD/Revit skills and deep ELV know‑how to drive winning bids in Qatar.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Qatar ELV projects, preferably including MOI CCTV and security system projects.
• Strong experience in technical solution development, BOQ preparation, estimation, tender preparation, and technical proposal development.
• Good knowledge of CCTV, Networking, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, PA/AV, IPTV, Digital Signage, and other ELV systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant ELV design tools.
• Strong ability to understand technical specifications, tender requirements, and client needs and convert them into practical solutions.
• Good knowledge of ELV products, manufacturers, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical pre-sales activities for ELV and security system projects by understanding client requirements, reviewing tenders and specifications, developing appropriate technical solutions, preparing BOQs and technical proposals and supporting the Sales Team throughout the tender cycle.
• Prepare the required ELV designs calculations, drawings and technical documentation to support proposals and project requirements.
• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, scope of work and client requirements to identify technical and commercial requirements.
• Work closely with the Sales Team to understand customer requirements and develop suitable ELV solutions.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings to gather requirements, present technical solutions and provide technical clarifications.
• Develop system architecture, technical concepts and solution proposals for ELV and security systems.
• Select appropriate products, equipment, technologies and system configurations based on project requirements.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, equipment schedules, technical compliance sheets and cost estimates for tenders and proposals.
• Obtain and evaluate technical information, specifications, compliance documents and pricing from manufacturers and suppliers.
• Prepare complete technical proposals including system descriptions, methodologies, datasheets, compliance statements and other tender requirements.
• Review tender requirements and identify technical deviations, exclusions, risks and opportunities before submission.
• Prepare technical responses and clarifications for clients, consultants and main contractors during the tender stage.
• Support the Sales Team in negotiations and technical discussions to help convert opportunities into orders.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for clients and consultants when required.
• Keep updated with ELV technologies, products, manufacturers and market developments and identify suitable solutions for upcoming projects.
• Prepare ELV system designs, layouts, schematics and detailed drawings to support pre-sales and project requirements.
• Develop designs for CCTV, Active/Passive Network, ACS, Queue Solutions, Fire Alarm, BMS, PA/AV, IPTV and other ELV systems.
• Prepare technical calculations including UPS, power storage capacity, network capacity and other system-specific calculations.
• Prepare technical drawings, material submittals, specifications, datasheets and other required technical documents.
• Ensure proposed designs comply with project specifications, applicable standards and authority requirements.
• Review and update technical proposals and designs based on client, consultant or project requirements.
• Work closely with Sales Engineers, Project Managers, draftsmen, Procurement and Installation Teams to ensure proper technical handover after order confirmation.
• Provide technical support during project execution when required.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for product selection, technical compliance and solution development.
• Assist the Project Team in resolving technical issues related to the proposed solution.
